Casino Austria Salzburg

The Casino Salzburg is one of 12 casinos operated by the Casinos Austria International group. Located in the Salzburg city center, the casino is inside the Klessheim Palace which dates back from the 18th century.

Externally, the palace looks like a smaller version of the Hofburg, while its entrance is recognizable with a large sign that says “CASINO”. The casino is closed every Christmas Eve.

The interior is glamorous; it sports a Baroque look which, if not for the gaming tables or the slot machines, would make the casino look like it’s still a functioning palace. Its gaming area is lighted by chandeliers hanging from white ceilings, while the floors are carpeted and the windows adorned with curtains. The same vibe is also seen at the in-house restaurant.

Guests at least 18 years old with valid ID can be admitted into the casino. Dress code has to be appropriate, and as attire is regulated, walk-in guests may buy an appropriate shirt at the casino for 14.90 EUR.

Casino Salzburg has 192 slot machines on site. These include 5 hydraulic roulette terminals and 29 Easy roulette terminals.

The main casino has different gaming tables on site, with 6 tables for American roulette, classified into two: Easy (with 29 terminals) and Hydraulic (with 5 terminals). Guests can also try their luck with blackjack as there are at least 8 tables available (7 for standard blackjack, 1 for outdoor blackjack in summer, and an on-demand number of blackjack X-change tables), or they can play different poker variants on site, such as Stud Poker (1 table), Easy Hold ‘Em (3 tables), and Texas Hold ‘Em (7 tables). There is also an option to play Macau Baccarat, with 1 table available.

Every Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m. guests can participate in party games with 2.5 EUR minimum bets for roulette and blackjack. In addition, they can participate in poker tournaments, with schedules found here.

The Glucks card enables cardholders to participate in the bonus program, such as the Mystery Ticket for those who use their card to play on the slot machines.

Casino Salzburg is located in the Klessheim Palace, once the summer residence of the Archbishop of Salzburg. It has an adjacent park which is now a golf and country club.

Successive visits entitles them to more benefits and bonuses, such as a 20 EUR bonus on the 20th visit.
